Hello All,
Does anyone know how to Reset Yamaha Expansion manager user id please,
Many thanks,
Colin

I take it you mean the yamaha musicsoft ID that's used to check protected packs.
On Windows 10, there's a file called Account.ini. Try renaming that and seeing if YEM asks for the details again.
C:\
Users\
[user name]\
AppData\
Local\
Yamaha\
ExpansionManager

That did not work, I'm using Win 7, so different operating system,
Its' so annoying

Because I helped some Genos owners (with other User-id) to install packs my file was missing/overwritten.
The problem is caused by the Musicsoft website beeing not available.... the Account.ini file is filled with data coming from that website.
Thanks to a full backup of my PC the 'old' .ini was in that backup. After replacing it it worked fine again.

Hi Niceonetidy,
the procedure on Win 7 is the exactly the same as on Win 10.
The User folder of the YEM is located here:
C:\ Users\ <YourUserName>\ AppData\ Local\ Yamaha\ Expansion Manager
Note: The folder "AppData" is not visible by default in Windows Explorer. If this is the case with your Win 7 system, I recommend to use one of the following options:
1. Press [Windows] + [R] keys simultaneously to open the "Run" window and type in (or copy from here):
%LocalAppData%\Yamaha\Expansion Manager
Press [Enter] key.
or
2. Download the attached file "Open LocalAppData_Yamaha_Expansion Manager.rgt" to your PC (e.g. to the Desktop).
Change the file extension ".rgt" to ".bat", then double-click this (batch) file.
Both methods will automatically open the "Expansion Manager" folder, in which you should be able to find the file "Account.ini".
Best regards,
Chris
