Title: unpack expansion packs directly on USB

I can only unpack Expansion packs in my SX700 and cannot unpack them on a USB. I would like to play directly from the USB instead of from the internal memory. Can I unpack an expansion pack directly on the USB and play from there?

No, but when you have installed the pack on your keyboard you can copy individual styles and voices to a USB stick.

Yes you san save styles from packs to use from USB but some of these will use voices from the pack so if you want to use them on there own you will need to re-voice some. Voices can not be used from USB. You must have them loaded into the memory.
