Title: Q in Equalization
Post by: Pianoman on June 05, 2020, 12:59:40 PM
I assume that many people here knew this already, but just in case there are some
who didn't (me for example) here is a simplified explanation of the function of Q in
Equalization. I hope that this helps someone.

The letter Q is a very important factor in the letters in EQ.  :D
Yes, the Q factor function must be understood and one should have a good ear when adjusting.
I made a video where you can also hear how the changes sound.

Thanks Ckobu.
I've been a bit slow to respond as I was out and about most of today.
I'll be checking out your video in a little while.

Best Regards,

Nice find..
It also confirms what i said about the EQ gold settings..
It does not so much do equalize... it repairs artifacts at certain frequencies

@Bachus - I agree with you about the golden EQ. I have it saved in USER Genos for testing but I didn’t want to (badly) comment on it in the video. All I have said is enough for a basic understanding of EQ settings.
