Tyros4 vs Tyros5 main differences?
Can anyone explain the differences between the two....
I am narrowing down my choices and would like to be able to be educated in their features,...
so many things I love about Tyros.
And a few things I do not.....any help appreciated.

DNJ, my friend, you are so funny, 😀
10 very good keyboards in 20 weeks and still no winner,
Including the Genos and you still back for more.
My opinion - Tyros 4, very good keyboard.
Stick with it for 3 months and get yourself a copy of “StyleMagic’"
Learn how to make song-Style intros from midi files,
Then your in control.
See how you go from there,
Good luck

Mid 2019 I had the option to purchase T4 or T5. My dealer recommended T5.
Being home only player I went for T5-76 which I'm very happy with.
Now after a few months I have it tweaked to my liking.
T5-76 was less price than SX900 has better quality keybed and after-touch both very important to me.

They are both excellent keyboards with lovely keybeds.
Here's a simple number I recorded on a Tyros 4. The instruments used are all stock voices found on any Tyros 4 or 5.

If I recall correctly, then it was with Tyros 5 where Ensemble Voices were introduced as well as the use of YEM.

The T5 is compatible with the Yamaha Expansion Manager, and it has a few more styles. It also comes in 2 versions, a 61 keys and a 76 keys version. Both T4 and T5 are great keyboards.

friends,
I have owned both a 4 and a 5. I traded up to a 5-76 key for the extra keys.
Granted you can do more on a 5 but you certainly can't go wrong with a 4.
Its a great instrument and I'm positive you'll love it
