Title: Lack of information on Live Control knobs
Post by: markchapman1976 on February 20, 2020, 09:23:38 AM
Hi I posted a while ago about using live control knobs but nobody responded which led me to think that people dont use this feature much. I've looked on the internet and the information on their use and benefits and how to use them is extremely limited. I wondered if there are any articles on here regarding them? Thanks

Mark

I suspect that your first sentence answers your question. It’s true for me, anyway.

I have never used them. I think they are for controlling sound when you play EDM type of music. The referance manual of your keyboard may have info about them.

They are not specifically for EDM. There are plenty of uses for them, just look at the list of options.

When I had a PSR, I assigned the left knob to reverb depth and the right knob to style / panel voice balance.

These are the things I adjust most often so it was nice to be able to do it very easily.

I've started to use one of mine. I've set it to adjusting the balance between Right1 and Right2. It's fascinating watching the volumes of the two parts going up and down. Another nice thing about them is that the instrument remembers the setting after you've switched off.

Hello friends! A BIG thanks to all of you for opening my eyes to the live control knobs!! This solved my problem with microphone imput level on my S975. And there is actually 8 slots where you can assign different things to those knobs. I can ajust a lot of things on the fly, GREAT! A hug to everyone!! I am very happy now! :)
