I've cleaned the Flash Memory and installed my new styles trough the keyboard. (style nmr 156). When I start the style the keyboard let see the name of the style (after loaded) and arrow in the measurements but I don't get anny sound out of the style.
What is wrong???
-
Could the styles volume be set low.
-
last time I looked it was 90.
-
At 90 that’s not the problem.
-
Make sure you turn on the ACMP, and press START.
-
AMCP is on. Start is done. STyle volume is 90.
Style is loaded in 156 and is into the screen when the measurements arrows running and playing.
So there must be sound, but I hear nothing.
I take some screenshots from the KB and from the flash...but the forum doesn't allowed me no more then 500kb. For a good screen it needs more.
So sorry for that.

Check that nothing is stuck in the earphone socket. Most of us have at some times forgotten to take out an earphone dummy plug. If you have anything connected to the keyboard, disconnect everything, atart it up again and try to get sound. Is htere a demo button on this model? If so, try to run the demo and see if you can hear it.

Are the other styles playing normally, or are none of the styles running. If it is only this style the problem must be with the style itself, or how you loaded it.
Mike
-
all other styles playing normal.
I downloaded now tree versions of one styl at this forum.
None of them are working. I take 21 kb, 28kb, and 51 kb.
I uploaded tree styles, and none of tree are working.

What keyboard model do you have?
-
Please give the keyboard model and exactly how you are doing this - are you downloading the style file onto a USB memory stick, and then transferring it to the computer.

I connect the PSR E 403 with u usb cable to thet PC.
With Musicsoft downloader (Yamaha) i place the style fyle on the flashmemory. Cheking the connection between PC and KB
Going to the KB I go with the button to SFF Load and press on the load key.
Then Load Ok, the file is going to transfer to the KB.
I see the file loaded in the KB>
For playing I choose number 156. The KB ask if i wanna load the fyle. Pressing Yes.
Then when it is loaded I push the style button. Choose 156 and see the style. Start the style and see the arrows of the measurment moving. Also the ACMP is on.
No sound.
With the fyles that are allready into the KB there is no problem.

Post the style here so someone can take a look at it for you.

Hi Marc
I do not have a PSR E403 however a couple of suggestions.
Are the styles (that you are trying to play) the correct format for your keyboard.
Maybe the styles are looking for voices that are NOT on your keyboard, hence you will not hear them.
Double-check what voices are being used.

He has posted the styles that are not working on his keyboard so someone else can try them on a similar model.

Marc
By posting the link you are connecting us to a style we know will work because it is the original from another member. You would need to post the style as you have it loaded in your keyboard that does not play if someone is to investigate.

The problem is he hasn’t posted the styles.

I cannot upload the STY files. Don't know what I'm doeing wrong.
If I want attach the file and it has the extension STY, I cannot upload it. Only bmp, txt, jpg etc.
Somebody can help me with it.
that's why I put the links from where I download the STY file.

Marc, from january 1st. we must use a file sharing service such as Box.com to upload styles and other files, and then provide a link to the file.
-
Fred
He did actually post the styles, albeit a bit hidden. They are contained within other post he gave via links. However, as I posted to him, that would not be very helpful because we already can be pretty sure those styles work OK because they came from another member, so they would reveal nothing about his problem.

Hi
The problem is that the styles are not compatible with the E-403. They have 4 variations and are SFF2. They need to be modified to work on the 403 with 2 variations.

Hi
To format to SFF1 use "Style Format 2 Converter" at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sf2c/index.htm
To reduce number of style parts use "Style ReMixer" at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sremix/index.htm

gonna try that this evening.
Hope it works.
Thanks for the input.
-
thanks roy.
The problem is the same. I see that it are SFF1 fyles and not the extension STY. The files are only 28kb large, and one of 51kb. So they should work.
Marc

If it does not work, I suspect the problem is the way you are transferring the files, and that you are not actually transferring data ie they are empty folders.

Thank you so very much Roy.
Gonna look for a new file then
You are very helpfull.

Hi
My "Style Format 2 Converter" software - mentioned above - can be run in batch mode, meaning converting a folder of styles. The program detects the format in the individual styles and will only convert the SFF2 styles to SFF1.
To detect style format try my "Style Format Finder" software at http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/sff/index.htm . This program can be run in batch mode too... ;)
