Title: STOP ACMP uses SPLIT voice
Post by: fvgool on February 09, 2020, 03:20:09 PM
I recently got a PSR-EW410 keyboard and noticed the STOP ACMP mode.
This mode could be very useful, except that it always seemed to use the same voice (a string pad?).

While searching this forum, I noticed that many others had had the same problem.
The solution seemed to be to change the STOP ACMP status from fixed to style.
Unfortunately this isn't a solution to me because:
- my EW410 doesn't have a STOP ACMP status to change and
- even if it had, it still wouldn't let me set the voice directly

However, I finally found another solution: enabling SPLIT mode and selecting a SPLIT voice.
So it seems that my EW-410 then uses the selected SPLIT voice in the STOP ACMP mode.
I couldn't find this feature in the manual or in this forum, so I decided to share it.
Possibly, this solution also works for other keyboard types (with or without STOP ACMP status).

Thank you! I believe this solution had been posted by someone else a while back, but that post may have gotten lost between ghen and now, so it's good to have the solution posted again.
