Hi,

Some one ask me why like this, isn't easy to just import?
My answer is yes but all your UVN, UVD orange have inside wrong information starting with bad waves; wrong key assignations and pan designation; insert effect and probably many that I don't found yet. For sure your keyboard will not work properly.
All are because of not OK translator UVN to PPF of YEM.
Bad waves are nor recognized, Pan value is not OK sometimes (Element1=Left; El2=Rigth YEM = Center), Insert effect stay on Reverb and Hall1 even on keyboard it is clear Delay and so on.

Thanks & Best regards
Mihai

Thanks for the instructions, I looked at your explanation. Unfortunately, there has to be double work, Yamaha didn't exactly celebrate.
Can you tell me what happens to voices like harmonica or clarinet where we need to have a Loop. YEM can't do this.

Hi,

Loop is not for YEM, When you open the files on Awave you can see if loop is made or not.
Most of our traditional sound come from Korg samplers so if need loop is already made.
If is not, you can obtain with another software (Extreme Sample Converter, I think) and come back to YEM to make your voice with looped waves.
Unfortunately, even like this with all the knowledge that I have until now, for the complex sound I still can hear differences between imported UVN from T4 and obtained PPF with the same waves. Better sound for T4. I will try to find all the secret even can be a simple answer: better sound creator on T4.

Thank you for your reply. I agree that the conversion to YEM is not good. That's why I use Awave, and I finish in YEM.

YEM Voice Editor is very poor.. A lot of properties and functions are missing for a BASIC edit! An advanced edit, IMO, it will include SA voices, and so on..

Hi Vali, how are you,
Now the main problem for me is to obtain the sound made for T4 on the new, clean, voice PPF but unfortunately for some voices seems to be impossible, so I will be oblige to use imported UVN voices, orange icon, even I know that inside of that file something is not right.
I just hope that all these orange file don't affect in the bad way the keyboard or the functionality.

Title: Re: YEM - UVN to PPF step by step HELP

Good night.
I have a problem. In its day I converted sounds and drum from tyros 4 with the YEM for the PSR sx900 (sounds only with external samples). I could edit and reproduce it in YEM. It worked perfectly on the PSR. Now I am going to try to enter to change and it does not ring in YEM. It is orange.
Why?
I have used CE-yem from Vali, I do not know if I have had a filter or something.
I have YEm 2.6 and updated n27 of the psr

Attached image, it doesn't sound like it used to.
I have installed the kit again and it sounds.
What happened?

Greetings and thank you very much for your opinions.

Hi Victor.

It is possible, if you used YEM-CE v2, and if you used function of removing empty waveforms, that the bond between that element and waveform to be broken.
Even so, it's strange that you could edit it, because in that case the voice should be disabled for editing.

Please, could you export that drum as ppf and to give me that ppf to test it?

Thank you.

PS: It is a good thing that you have a backup of initial data ;)

Regards,
Vali

Good morning Vali
Thank you very much for answering.
What email do I send the file to?
Congratulations for the program you are doing.
