Title: Wanted PC program to Transpose a part in a Style
Post by: Graham UK on February 02, 2020, 03:43:08 AM
Do we have a PC program that can transpose a part in a Style ?.Many 3rd party have styles with the odd part needs changing one octave.I thought Michael Bedesem MixMaster would do this but can't see a transpose option.

Graham,

There should be a way to do that in MixMaster.  But I use StyleMagic because it can do it easily and quickly. You can download a demo version of the program. Enter the Mixing Console screen and you will see an Octave button.  When you click on it; it will open a dialog box allowing you to change octave up or down with a single click. This will work for Mega Voices also.  The demo does no allow you to save any edits you make but it will give you an opportunity to check out the program before you buy.  Scroll down the page to see screen shots of the Mixing Console

There are many ways to do this with MixMaster. Two are shown here.

As Joe H said, you have to be careful not to transpose Multi Voices tones. You can do this with XGWorks. I just made a video showing how to change guitar notes one octave lower.

If you initially entered Style into MixMaster, your only option is to save Style. If you enter MIDI into MixMaster, then you are offered to save it as a *-mid or *.kar. The only mistake can be that.

OK. I appear to have managed to do the transpose of a style part.
PROBLEM is Changes made in MixMaster are not being saved SAVE AS so although my Style Part Octave changes are complete they are not saved when style is played back in keyboard...Another funny one.

PS. Your help with MixMaster is excellent and appreciated.
