Hello friends! I wonder if I can change any settings on the data entry wheel on the 975?

Hello :) Well, I found out that the answer is no!
The reason for me asking was that on Genos I can turn the wheel, and the files will be highlighted and ready to play. Very easy! On the 975 I can use the wheel, but the file will just get a red lining. To activate the file I have to press ENTER. So I wondered if I could change this to behave like the Genos, but have found out that this is a feature of the operating system of the old PSRs/Tyros keyboards, and can not be changed. That's life.

Hi Toril,
I seem to recall on Tyros's you could set whether scrolling through files would just highlight them or whether they would be automatically  "actioned". If you can find somewhere in the menus that allows you to set that preference (I can't remember any detail!) you might find it is available on the 975 too.

I actually prefer it the other way round, dialling the wheel doesn't select until you hit Enter. Can we make it that way on Genos?

Where on the Genos is it different?

So on Genos, when you have say the style selection page open, turning the wheel highlights another style file and selects it (switches to that style)

I would prefer it to highlight the style in some way (like a red outline, say) but not actually select it until I press Enter
