Hi all,
I'm trying to record a song using Midi multi recording.
Three quarters of the way through the song I transpose it.
However, when I play it back, it hasn't been transposed and stays in the same key.
I'm probably doing something very basic wrong, but I can't think what it is.
Could anyone help me please?
Thank you,
Dave.

did you save the file after the transpose
-
Make sure you have transpose set to keyboard and NOT to song. Then you transpose will be recorded into the tracks.
-
Eileen means the Transpose Assign setting, which can be set to a Keyboard, Song, or Master (both).
Cheers,
Fred

You were not wrong anywhere. Midi multi recording does not record the Transpose function.
-
If you change transpose assign to keyboard it will.
-
Is that not the wrong way
the song stays the same but the keys are transposed
Did you have to set the tranpose back by the next song ?

No. I always have it set at keyboard so I can transpose when recording a MIDI.

Maybe in the previous post I wasn't clear.
When you record SONG he will not remember the Master transpose. But it will remember if you only transpose the Keyboard. Watch the video.

Thank you everyone. :)

Using MixMaster might be more accurate but avoid including channels 9/10.
To transpose an entire song when you have one or more modulations in the song, PSRUTI is your best friend.
Ideally, you will have set the key signature element correctly in the song beginning of the song and where your modulation(s) occur. PSRUTI will change everything (chords, notes, and key signatures) but doesn't impact the notes on channels 9/10.

Sorry but the downloading of your video on Midi song recording - Transpose function has no audio, it can be seen clearly but not heard.
