Hi, I realized yesterday about this little incident yesterday when I tried to record a song using an audio style. The recorder stopped and immediately a message appears: CANNOT RECORD AUDIO STYLES IN MP3 FORMAT.
The strange thing about all this is that I did the same test with the WAV recorder, and I was able to record my song with the audio style. I would like to know why there is not the same possibility in Mp3 ?. It would be great if they included this option in an upcoming update. regards. Hans

Likely because the conversion to MP3 takes too much processor power. You need to record in bc WAV, then convert.
Cheers,
Fred

Hi Fred, thanks for your timely response. Just one question, is there a possibility to convert WAV to MP3 within the SX900? or it is necessary to do it through the computer. Cheers

Use something like switch or Audacity both free programmes and easy to use.
-
Also some free online websites that convert WAV to MP3 or any other format

Thank you all for your kind answers. regards.

As Eileen already mentioned, Audacity is a wonderful, complete and FREE program to do this on a computer (and it can do a lot more).
