Title: How do I import the new playlists to Genos?
Post by: Toril S on January 16, 2020, 08:41:30 PM
Hello friends :)
OK, so I have downloaded the bonus playlist for Genos and the playlist for the superior pack. But how to import to Genos? I see no such option when hitting playlist button. I think I have a MSM (Major Senior Moment) here :) They come more often these days :)

Hello Toril,

Just unzip them and copy the unzipped folder to the root of your USB stick. It will show on your Genos when you select your USB drive :-)

Cheers, Roland

Thanks Roland. Yes, I see them, but how to import to the playlist function on Genos?

Toril,

You can use the move function under FILE and move them into the USER area  or use the COPY function and copy them to the USER area.

No, this is not what I mean :) I want to install them as playlists in the playlist section on Genos. What I have now is just some entries. This is different from how I did it on the Tyros.

Toril,

Why can’t you make a new playlist and add the entries you want?

It is different from Tyros, but I believe it is a lot more flexible.

Hi Toril, just follow;
    1. Unzip the download files using preferred computer program.
    2. Copy "PSR-SX900 Playlist" folder onto root folder of USB storage device.
    3. Connect your USB storage device to the USB TO DEVICE termial
    4. Call up Playlist function by pressing [PLAYLIST] button.
    5. Choose the Playlist you want to play by choosing Preset -> User -> USB -> PSR-SX900 Playlist -> folder of your choice -> Playlist file inside the folder
    6. Push [PLAYLIST] button again, and you can see the playlist of your choice.
    7. If you press check mark or load the Playlist Record, PSR-SX900 is ready to play.
    8. Each Playlist Record contains several Registration data to play the song.

You've to touch LOAD to play the registration.

If you've some nice registrations on your Genos, just touch list, add to playlist, ..... and you'll have all your work on the playlist or in a new playlist called
Toril songs 2020 for example, all the best Toril, cheers Patrick

Remember these bonus playlists just consist of a set of folders which contain lots of registrations. So you can just open the Registration select page, and navigate straight to the folders with the registrations.

I think this is the easiest and most reliable way to get at the content of those bonus playlists.

These playlists all work fine from a USB stick but the stick must read USB1. Press playlist and tab to stick Select the playlist you want and now press playlist again. Now when you select a song you will see the green tick in it which means it is loaded ready to start.

So, do you want the Playlists to work from the USER instead of a USB?

Hi Toril,

You can still have the playlist on the USER. That way you don't need the USB inserted.

You still need the USB inserted because that’s where the playlists look for the registrations.

I modified the Bonus Playlist so that it can be used from the User instead of the USB drive.

Everything is included in the ZIP file and please follow the step-by-step instructions on the PDF file.
You can download it here:

Genos Playlist Worker has this feature, to change all records in a playlist to which device/place do you want!

Hi Stijn.. your link does not seem do work?

Ditto on non-working link

I just got my Tyros list to load ok to my Genos but..

When i try to access the track from the genos/tyros playlist it will not load ,either 2 click or touch and click load.

It will only load if i highlight it then, touch info button then, info of that track then appears, if i touch that info of that track , it will load and play fine.

Any ideas why it will not load on main playlist screen.

I leave usb plugged in.

Thanks

Tyros dose not use Play Lists only Music Finer files. These are easily loaded and converted to Genos and stored on user section.
