Title: Voice information on SX models
Post by: Simone1972 on November 23, 2019, 04:19:24 PM
Maybe it is a stupid question, but is the "info" function missing in the new SX models?
It was useful to understand the voice structure (especially a super articulation one).

The previous pop up 'Voice Info' function has been replaced on the SX models (and Genos) with a series of icons above the voice name of each applicable voice type on the Voice Part Setup display (open by pressing MENU > Voice Part Setup).

The meaning of each icon is described on page 32 & 33 of the SX 'Reference Manual' (not the Owner's Manual!) which you can download from your local Yamaha Support website.

This should allow you to 'decode' the icons shown against a particular voice, although in my opinion, it is not as clear as the previous Voice Info text function.

Thanks Ian for the heads up.
I agree this new function is not as good as the old one.

Press the Voice button. Lots of info on all four voices is displayed. If you want even more, tap on a voice name, then Menu>Voice Edit.

Cheers,
Fred
