Title: Just decided to buy the sx900

I have just taken a visit to Arundel in West Sussex to try the sx900.Have apprehensively decided to buy after being so use to my Tyros 5.I hadn't ordered one so seem to have found one pretty quick.They still have one in stock if anyone wants one really quick!!!.First impressions are very good.The keybed as everyone else has mentioned feels between the s975 (which I found very plasticky) & the Tyros 3/4/5.The sound from the internal speakers are quite powerful but still think even for small venues it would be better through a PA system.I have never had a touch screen keyboard before so that is all new to me.My first thoughts are that the one touch voices seem to be a bit more balanced than the T5.I am not sure that I like the location of the manual pads being so far over on the right as I like to bring them in using my left hand but that is personal preference I suppose.Unfortunately I can't comment much more at this stage as I have only spent 90 mins in the shop with it & it is still in the box but I was impressed enough to buy one!!!

Hello Larry,
  I am sure you are going to enjoy your new keyboard. Remember that you can choose sync start for your Multi pads when making up registrations. You will soon get used to there new position. They are the same on Genos so I am used to them by now. Don't forget to update it to version e as soon1.3. I did mine as I got it.

Thanks Eileen.Yes I did update the firmware as soon as it came out of the box.

If I understand, you currenly have a T5 but have decided to swop it for an SX900

Genuine question, what did you think was better about the SX. Did you have the 76 key T5?

I have boight the sx900 in addition to the Tyros 5 Derek.I need to compare before being sure about selling the T5.

Congratulations Larry! Enjoy your new baby!! Nothing like a new keyboard to explore! If I were you I would not sell the Tyros5!
The SX900 is a PSR, the T5 is a TYROS! Two different beasts.

Hello Lofty,
  The process of updating your SX900 will be the same as on your PSR 970.
