Title: Yamaha GM&GX voices?

I'm working on a musical project on Genos, and I need some sound in the SoundEffect section, but I can't find the GM&XG or GM2 folder.
I played back some old music and it still had that sound in Genos, but when I wanted to edit it, I couldn't find it anywhere, it seemed to be hidden. I just found the Legacy folder.
How do I find it? Anyone have any suggestions?

Glad I read this posting as Yamaha may be doing this on the SX line of keyboards as well. I can't say I have ever used a GM or GX voice in my OTS before though.

The waveforms are still there, you just need to follow the trick to set up voice files that expose them.

I don't understand why they are not just part of the preset voices in the first place though ...

Post by: EileenL on September 02, 2019, 11:19:36 PM: All GM or XG sounds are flat. That means there is no effect on them. When used in style they have effects added to them that are most suitable. It is also quite fun to take these sounds and use voice set to change them to your own liking.

If the Genos has new XG Voices (wave forms) that's nice but the standard 480 XG Legacy Voices have been the same for many generations of sound modules and arranger keyboards since the 1990s.
