can anyone tell me how to combine a STYLE and a WAV file

What is your goal? Play a WAV synchronous with a style? Or a WAV triggered on a pad button? Or do you want you use WAV's as instrument samples in a style?
Please elaborate.

For a Tyros User you'll need to Create an Expansion Pack with the Instrument Sample, Using Yamaha Expansion Manager,
Then only you can create a Multi Pad on the Keyboard,

No, not true. You can create an audio link multi pad bank on the Tyros. No need for YEM, I've done it countless times.

I am trying to use a wav file of a vocal track with audiolink as a multipad. I can't seem to get the Wav file to show up on my USB. I reformatted the stick and reloaded the wav file and nothing shows up on it for audiolink. I have done this in the past, but I am having a lapse of memory.
Any idea on why this is happening. I have used this memory stick on the keyboard to transfer audio recordings to my PC without a problem.

No, not true. You can create an audio link multi pad bank on the Tyros. No need for YEM, I've done it countless times.
I thought the Tyros Doesn't have Audio link,

Check if the Wave File is 44.1 Khz 16 Bit, Also the length of the file name..
If it still doesn't work, I'm clueless.

Yamaha is particular about the format of the WAV file. If not in the proper format, the file will not be displayed. Norman has the specs for you.

Only STEREO wave files will work here (MONO wave files will NOT work).
.wav 44.1 kHz / 16-bit / Stereo
The file name can contain a maximum of 41 characters (plus 4 characters for the file extension ".wav").

Thanks Guys,
I bought the vocal track from a third party. I didn't realize the file name was so huge. The sample rate was correct 44.1 Khz 16 Bit Stereo. I reduced the size of the file name and it worked fine.

Thank you so much for your very interesting inputs and feedbacks.
As far as I know ( or am I wrong ? ) there are no particular instructions mentioned in the T5 manual how to work/operate with these wav. files through the audio link of my T5.
It looks to be a very useful tool especially when one is able to create ( midi ? ) multipads from audio wav's ... a dream would come true for my personal applications. WOW ! 😁
I would be very grateful if one of you is willing to explain - step by step, if possible - how to proceed starting from scratch.👏

I understand chord matching is not possible, right ?

For chord matching, you should create MIDI multi-pads. Most of the times, I use a MIDI of a song and rip out the parts I need for a pad.
I've created quite some audio link multi-pads, mostly not very tempo or chord dependent. When it should be chord/tempo depentent, I transposed / tempo-changed the WAV in Audacity before using it in a multi-pad. The disadvantage is of course that you always need to play the related song in the correct tone.
Another option is the usage of the Audio Player. It can change tone and tempo realtime and you can save all of those settings in a registration. I use this for "original" intro's for some songs, so I rip out the beginning from an MP3 with Audacity, fade out at the end, and use it in a song-registration as the default Audio Player song, with correct tone/tempo.
The possibilities are endless, just use your imagination ;)

I still wonder how Yamaha are creating these MIdi vocal multipads like e.g. " All together now " or " Oh Yeah ".
All these preset vocal multipads are MIDI and chord matching. No problem to open and play them in a midi DAW like Sonar e.g.
I assume they are converted from WAV. files or not ?

Yes, they are indeed MIDI and use "voices" based on samples. You can do that too, but that mean you'll have to create a custom voice based on a sample, and then a MIDI multi-pad using that new voice.
