Title: repeat recording
Post by: larryj on July 10, 2019, 01:52:51 PM
well my third post.  the first two I haven't received any help yet.  what I would like to know is, if I record a bass drum and snare for lets say for 4 bars, is there a way for this recording to loop endlessly without any breaks.  namely can I have it repeat with no interruptions for a specified amount of time or repeat endlessly.

Have you tried recording your drums as a Multi Pad?

It is very easy to do and can be made to loop endlessly and seamlessly if you get the timing correct.

If both (or all) drum sounds that you want to use are from the same drum kit voice, then you can record them all on the same pad.
If they are from different kits, then it is easiest to record each on a separate pad and then play back both together.

When you play an MP, you can alter its tempo, or if a style is playing, it will sync to the style tempo.

Why not try it and see if it offers what you are trying to achieve.

Styles are looping all the time.
You can also create a 4 bar style that keeps playing if you want just a drum pattern and no other organs which require chords.

I can't answer your multi track recording question.I don't use it to know many details about it.
