HI! I am the owner of an old Tyros2. Do you know if inside the motherboard there is a clock with a battery like computer CMOS battery? I am asking because when I save a song the date is always at 03/01/2005. So I want to know if there is any way to change the date. Thanks for any help.

You may want to download these manuals at the following links:

Hi aldus51,
there is NO internal battery inside the Tyros2. None of the models before Tyros5 has an internal clock. This means, in all those previous models all saved files have the same time stamp.
That's why I recommend to use a different filename (e. g. by adding a number like 01, 02 and so on) for each new version of a particular file, or save a new version to a different folder (to prevent overwriting the old/previous version).
In addition, I recommend to save/copy ALL versions on the computer or on external drives / USB sticks for reasons of safety.
Best regards,
Chris

Usually the saved date has to do with the date the software of the keyboard was installed or manufactured. Nothing to worry about. My PSR S950 saves always with the date 01-01-12. You can change it if you like to a date you saved the song or style.

Thanks to all of you. I thought there wasn't any battery inside.... LOL nevermind. Pity but I can cope with that. Changing the date on my computer. :-)
