Title: PSR S550, can it play SFF2 styles and does it have USB?
Post by: Toril S on May 09, 2019, 10:50:19 PM
Hello friends.
Excuse if this is in the wrong place, but I didn't find this particular keyboard here. A friend of mine have found a PSR  s550 for sale, and wonder if it has USB, and If it can play Sff2 styles? I googled a little and found out that the model is from 2008. Anyone having it here? Or can say a little about it. My friend has a T5, but wants a lighter keyboard as a backup.

Hi Toril,

I doubt the PSR-S550 Keyboard can play SFF2 style files, but I may be wrong.  Yes, this keyboard does have a USB Port.

I've attached the Owner's Manual for you.  :)

According to this chart on Jorgen's website, the PSR-S550 uses SFF-1 styles:

But Jorgen has also a program to convert SS2 to SS1. Voices and effects missing on the 550 will be replaced or do not sound.
