You can't do this on the keyboard. You need to do it through a computer programme such as Audacity.

Hi thanks Eileen for fast response I have got audacity but the conversion is bad but when I convert on keyboard the conversion is a lot better may have to come up with a way of recording from keyboard to computer without loosing quality
Thanks Terry

Hi Terry,
Try to find the song version as a MIDI file and then transpose it in a DAW or on the keyboard if the MIDI file is compatible. You cannot "transpose" mp3 (that is an audio format) - you can only "pitch-shift" an audio file but that is a hack and rarely works for a finished song.
Cheers, Roland

Which song is it?
I could find a midi for it.

Hi the song is take it to the limits (by Eagles) it is a backing track in the key of (B) but my friend who sing in (G) as I said if I load it and play the mp3 through tyros5 play it back transposed in mixing on pitch shift all is fine but I need a copy for him pitch shift-4 the file was a karaoke file converted to mp3

Hi Terry,
You can't edit and save mp3's on Tyros 5, but there's a way around it.
Simply load the song you desired to play, do the transposing and save it as a Registration. Just make sure you put the check mark on 'Song' tab, and anytime you recall that Registration, it will automatically load the song WITH the transposition applied.
Although I wouldn't suggest transposing more than 2 semitones up or down due to significant sound degradation, and probably it will be better idea to start looking for another mp3 which is nearer to the desired key.
Cheers.
