Title: Volume change of a MIDI song
Post by: sugarplumsss on January 25, 2019, 04:14:11 AM
I asked this question a long time ago.
I received this response
I may be doing something that yields poor results.

I want to Change the volume of a single part, or channel in a MIDI song acquired from Yamaha.

Simplest edit possible: lowering volume of a single part.

Here are the instructions
for making the edit WITHIN the T4

panos kindly offered this:

Change overall volume of a channel and execute, then Save

I have just found a way to do it on keyboard.

1.Press song and select the midi file you wish to change
2.Function -->  F -->  song creator
3.Press mixing console
4.Change the volume of the channel
5.Press exit
6.You are back to song creator now to the REC MODE
7.Go to the 2nd tab called Channel
8.Navigate down to the 5th line called Setup
9.Under setup is an execute order, press it
10.To the right you see save button, press it
11. Save the midi with a new name.

I can recognize my bad english there :)
Sorry sugarplumsss I guess in tyros line the exact steps are different.
I hope someone with a Tyros can help you with that, my friend.
Maybe this lesson can help you better maybe?

No No, you did fine.. I am just not clear about the process from EXECUTE
at that stage things get weird with it.
A few times by guessing, I got lucky and did it.
I do not recall my guessing!
But there is another complication that I asked about before,:

Saving a song with modified volumes into a registration. Veterans here may see this as easy.  But with my HD acting up, and the default save page is confusing me a bit... well, it is a struggle.
But thank you again panos.
