Post by: Bachus on January 16, 2019, 07:29:17 PM
Somehow i managed to register my Genos in the USA..
I had to reactivate my old Yamaha account
And could register the Genos
Somehow the musicsoft website linked me to the is website

Now i can log in to the eu musicsoft
But my Genos does not show in the musicsoft account

Shall o wait this out, maybe it takes just time
Or should incomtact someone of Yamaha NL?

I believe that if you are in the USA you register your keyboard in USA database .  Yamaha USA

If you are in Europe you register your keyboard in Europe database.   Yamaha Europe

Looks silly but it happened to me before . . . .

thanks

Music soft will not show your Genos registration it only shows styles and packs you have purchased usually.

So how does Yamaha know that those packs belong to my Genos?

The Yamaha Music Soft site has a page in menu named "My instruments". There you can add as many instruments as you want, multiple Genos or other series with different serial numbers.

However, US site servers are different than EU servers. So, if you want something from EU you have to register your keyboard also in EU site.

Vali

I guess it's where the 'Instrument Info' file are in use. To determine that your packs belong to your Genos.
(Reference Manual page 150)

When you register your Genos you have to also fill in the info that is on the form that comes with the keyboard and also the serial number. This is the info that is passed to the YEM in the ID number you have to import. This info will also be passed to Music soft site so that everything marries up.

I've been using this support form both for T4 and Genos 'software & account issues' the 3 or 4 times that it has been necesary, and always got great help and support.
In dropdown menu you can choose your country, then I guess the request goes into the correct inbox. ;)  :)
