Title: Changing voices in Music Finder song
Post by: bassgolf on December 20, 2018, 12:48:22 AM
(Tyros 5)How do I save a change in voices in a Music Finder song? I renamed a song to use in another song and then changed the voices but it didn't seem to work. Every time I go back to that song the original voices are back.

You need to create a user style.

Load the style.
Load the OTS you want to change.
Select you new voices.
Press Memory, and the OTS button.
Repeat for each OTS you want to change.
Now save the style under whatever name you want.
Update your music finder record with this new style.

Cheers,
Fred

Thanks for the help Fred. Do voices always have to go with "styles" or can they be saved with "songs" also?

Does one always have to use OTS or can I just change voices in a style and save that style under a new name?

OTS is where the voices are stored. If you’re using the music finder, this is the only way to change voices.

Outside the music finder, you can store voices in a registration, or in a midi file.
