Hello friends :)
Today I got a very good offer on a T5 61 keys model, so I broke down and bought it!!! It looks as new, not a scratch on it! There is a worn patch on the sub's grill cover, that is all. No stand, no extension card, but the keyboard looks as if it came out of the factory today! It has been used only at home. I am super happy with everything, but I have to get used to the bulk of it! It is a big beast, in more than one way. I am going to set it up now. Wish me luck :)

Although I have not posted for a while I have been following your problems with your s970,and I hope you will soon get it back home.
Congratulations with T5 it is a great keyboard,I had aT5/76 before I got my Genos,I am confident you will soon find your way around it,it has some great sounds and styles.You will enjoy it I'm sure ;D ;D

No, Babette, my S970 is not back yet. But I am going to keep it. It is convenient to have a smaller keyboard also, that easily can be moved around. I have ordered a wheeled bag for my T5, so that I can take it out on gigs if I feel that I want all the bells and whistles. I mostly play at home. I love the T5, and is going to set it up now. I just came home, and had to tell you friends before I did anything else. I have to get used to its bulkiness, but it is not much heavier than my S970.

Skickar med Svenska manualer till Tyros 1 och Tyros 5, Tyros 1 i den står det mycket mera än i Tyros 5 det ända som skiljer är att Tyros 1 har en diskettstation istället för USB.

so that's what I could hear from the north side of the mountains when I took a short trip outdoor?
If the northern light (Aurora Polaris) shows up and you keep playing, it would be amazing and magic. 8) ;D

I went outside and thought I could hear that lovely sound and I am on the east coast of England.
She must have the Bose system whacked up well !! :) :)

Thank you all my good friends. It is hard to go away from the keyboard, but the dogs are asking for their evening walk. I fear I will be sitting up this night (with earphones)! Fantastic sound, I love the feel of the keys, and the silver finish and oldfashioned buttons without that awful rubber feel. And it looks new, not a scratch on it! Glad I did this!

Hi Tori...just got me one too last month. It is so awesome .I had a T3, T4 and now a T5 ...sooooo much power and so much more dynamic than the others that I had . I wanted the Genos butt I wanted the old format ......getting to many senior moments to learn the new Genos . So YAY for you. Please share your experiences with all of us here..... cant wait !!!

Thanks Gary, I will. There will be questions I fear, so you might get tired of me pestering you. But it is the old, trusty operating system, that I know, and the blessed buttons, not touch screen. I love it!

Pleased to hear you have bitten the bullet and gone for Tyros 5. I know you will love it. You will find it easier to operate than the 970 and now all your Audio recordings you do will be stored on your 500 Gb hard drive.

Congratulations, Toril ! I think this is absolutely terrific. After hearing the music you got from your PSR-2100, I can just imagine what you will get from the T-5, but for what it has given you, don't forget to give that 2100 a loving pat now and then, as you pass by it, just so that it will know that you have not forgotten it.

Am so thrilled you got your hands on a Ty 5 and hope it brings you lots of joy.
Still can't understand how Yamaha can take so long in fixing your s970.
Maybe that Ty 5 was the fix. Keep well and warm.

Hi Toril
Just a thought,when I received my T5 new I had to adjust the gain and EQ levels as the sound levels were quite low.If yours was reset to factory settings before your purchase it may be an idea to check these settings.

Also make sure that the volume knob on the back of the woofer is turned fully on.
