Title: How long is the time to load a new expansion on 1gb in Tyros5?

My experience is: too long, about 40 min to load 1gb of data. And yours?

Yes that's about right.

I  believe that the newer models (770/5, 970/5, Genos) are much faster.

I had an S770 when they first came out, and the expansion load was a bit slow. Then there was a firmware upgrade and it got significantly faster. So I guess Yamaha figured out a better way to do it. They didn't issue a firmware update for the Tyros though :(
