is there anyway to copy expansion from yamaha A-3000 to usb or computer

If I understand your question... is it possible to copy the expansion pack from the keyboard memory to USB or computer, the answer is... NO.

Hi Yamahalover,

the Wave data of the Voices of installed Expansion Packs can NOT be copied in any way from the A3000 to USB or PC.

But you can copy Style, Multi Pad and Registration files of Expansion Packs: To "copy" only one file, e. g. a Style, you have to LOAD the Style from Expansion folder and then SAVE to USB drive.

To copy many files at once, you can use the "Yamaha MusicSoft Downloader" PC program.

But first, you need to install the ---> "Yamaha USB-MIDI Driver" (https://usa.yamaha.com/support/updates/index.html?c=keyboards&k=usb-midi). (While installing, the A3000 must already be connected to the PC with a USB type AB cable!)

On the A3000 the MIDI template "All Parts" should be activated.

Then you can install and use ---> "MusicSoft Downloader" (https://usa.yamaha.com/support/updates/index.html?c=keyboards&k=musicsoft): Start the program and click on "Connection Check" button, to make sure everything is ok.

Now click on "Electronical Music Instruments" (on the left) ---> "USER" ---> "EXPANSION" and on a particular subfolder here. On the right, you will see the files of this Pack. You can select one or more files (by using Shift or Cmd key when clicking), then rightclick and choose "Copy".

Then go to another drive in Musicsoft Downloader (e. g. USB drive that is connected to A3000 or a folder on the PC hard disk), rightclick there and choose "Paste" to copy the files to this location.
