Title: UPGRADE FROM S950 TO S975
Post by: Musicmad on July 23, 2018, 07:56:18 PM
Hi all I am thinking of upgrading from a S950 to a S975. I have many songs saved in registration bank files, can I use these saved and registered on the 950 in the 975 and will they play exactly the same style? My concern is that when I swop keyboards I will have to redo the registration files.

Hello Friend!
Almost everything will remain as it is, but some records will have to be reworked.
It's no big deal. In a few days you will be all normalized!

Hugs and good luck!
Enildo

I took the plunge and I'm pleased. I was able to even installed Premium Packs from Tyros 5 like the "Country Musician", "Euro&Organ", "Easy Listening", "Greetings from Italy" and many others. I'm loving it.

Hello Telmo, did you change the S970 for the S975?

Hi Hans,
That's alright. I sold my S970 and upgraded for the S975  mainly for the extra memory size. I'm really enjoying it. I even installed, with the Expansion Manager,  some Audio Styles from Tyros5 and Genos. I could take 8 Audio Styles. Have a good time.

Hello Telmo, I'm very glad you're enjoying your new keyboard. I had to sell my S970, to be able to pay debts, and I bought the S770, so as not to run out of keyboard, since I need it to make sequences, birthday parties and masses, I hope to recover financially to be able to update to the S975. greetings  Hans

Hi Telmo; congratulation for the new PSR S975; i'not change my PSR S970 as i'm not so pleased with the amount of memory on the Yamaha keyboards! I hope one day, Yamaha will decide to sold a PSR with the possibility to add the amount of memory we want to have: 32 to 64 Gb of on board memory; well, we can dream!
Have a nice week, all the best Patrick

Hi there

I have finally upgraded from 970 to the 975.  I use my 975 to lead worship at a local church don't let anyone tell you that you cannot lead worship with a keyboard and need a piano or guitar.  The 2 bar fill in is a great feature as there are a number of songs that use this feature and were challenging from a timing POV with the 4/4 fill only.
