Title: Styles for rock, r&b, funk
Post by: sugarplumsss on July 11, 2018, 11:58:40 PM
I have asked this before..  i am willing to pay for styles
Suited to music from 1970 through today.
There are limited rock beats- ditto r&b beats.

I only need styles for drums
But if other parts are included that's fine.

Is this considered a stupid question.
I have seen many styles here
But most are leroy brown... and prior to..

Earth wind and fire
James brown
Motown  ( there are precious few on board)

There ate many drum styles that would enhance
My capabilities on tyros

Thank you

Hi --

I converted 20+ Motif Performances to PSR/Tyros styles. The styles cover funk, R&B, funky jazz and rock:

Although I did the work on PSR-S950, they should play back just fine on other mid-range PSRs and Tyros 4.

I also converted a bunch of DJX-II patterns to PSR/Tyros styles:

http://sandsoftwaresound.net/free-djx-ii-styles-for-psr/

That collection includes some R&B-ish and jazzy styles, too. These behave like "DJ styles" and should work on Tyros 4. (Heck, I have a version of these styles running on PSR-E443.)

Have fun -- pj

P.S. They're all free.

Thanks pjd

Those DJX styles drum beats do sound different i think.   ;D

For sure the Yamaha styles are way behind the times, they go up to the 1990's at best.
