Title: Condenser 48V Mic and the S975 ?

Would like to know if it is possible ( without creating any damage ! ) to connect a condenser mic ( 48V ) by using a preamp ?
The preamp has 2 phantom power inputs and a " normal " line output.

The idea is ( after the condenser mic has been installed in the preamp ) to connect one of the preamp outputs with the mic input of the S975.

If it works, this connection is applicable for all Yamaha keyboards ( with a dynamic mic input ), right ?

Wishful thinking ?  ;)

It should work just fine.  Just remember to turn the input knob on the keyboard all the way down.  Then connect it and turn up the volume gradually as you test the mic.  Often condenser mics have hot signals.

One of these days I will do a test and let you know the results.

I wonder if the sound and volume will be improved or worse.

Oh, I've done it before, or I wouldn't have said it is o.k.  :)
Generally, condenser mics are of high quality and flat response.  I have several, but it's just easier to plug a "normal" mic into my PSR.
My Korg PA4x has phantom power on board so I often use a condenser with it.
Genos also has phantom power.
