Title: Pitch Bend Replacement?
Post by: kemo on June 06, 2018, 04:31:14 AM
Hi guys, anyone have any problems with their pitch bend? Mines recently when in use will not bend to correct note while using. Mechanicaly it feels sound however its annoying as it sounds awful when bending guitar solos.

Thanks in advance

Have you checked to see what Pitch Bend Range you've got set?

If it turns out to be something to do with the circuitry, I believe you can buy replacement pots online from a couple of different stores.

Look in the Mixing Console page where the Pitch Bend setting is... You can change it there. Also look in the Voice Set parameters.  I believe there is setting there as well, but if you are talking about guitar... then chances are the Voice file has saved the right setting for Pitch Bend. (2 semi tones)

Thank you for your kind reply, I've ensured that the pitch is definitely set correctly. I'm wondering is it an easy repair?

Thank you Joe for your response.
I've checked the parameters and they all seem perfect. I'm looking at maybe a repair. I play a lot of guitar on my psr and sometimes I can maybe take for granted the fragility of the little pitch bend. I remember having a similar issue on my 900 and I purchased the part, however the fault rectified itself. I'm wondering if it's the same part number??

If you have a PSR-S750 or PSR-S950, you can find the Service Manual here:

VR 300 is defective (Rotary Variable Resistor  )
Part number WZ510000  , It's 10.0K ohm pot, remove the old one and re solder 3 pins back to the circuit board.
You can see the part in this video @ 15:00

Yep my WHEEL is screwed up too.

It's got to be the SPRING or something like that connected to the Wheel. Yours sounds to be in worse shape than mine. I use the WHEEL a whole lot as well, I am generally bending it UP. What I do is Bend the wheel Down a few (6 to 10) times and it fixes it for a while.
