Title: Simulate a half bar on PSR-s970, possible?
Post by: Cleverson on April 25, 2018, 08:02:23 AM
Hi, is there any trick to simulate the Half Bar function when playing styles, introduced in PSR-s975 and already present on some arrangers from Roland?

Thanks in advance.

Yes. Use Jorgen’s half bar fill creator. It’s available in the Utilities section.

Can someone describe on how to use "Jorgen’s half bar fill creator" to create half bar fills ?
And how to actually use it on the keyboard. I am asking for my Tyros3.
Genos already has half bar fill mode, turn it ON and each FILL will play 2 bars at most. But it need to be turned OFF when you want full bar fill.

I believe if you just tap lightly on the Main button instead of press and hold, you will hear a half bar fill-in.

You can download the program "Style Half Bar Fill Creator" from this link.
http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/filledit/index.htm (http://www.jososoft.dk/yamaha/software/filledit/index.htm)
Program author Jørgen Sørensen described the process. Follow the instructions and when you encounter a problem, then ask.

You can approach it in another way and make a half barr yourself. This is a video in which I described how the Fill in can take two measures. It's the same method when you want half bar, only the tempo in the transition accelerates by double the value.
