Title: See what voice a style use
Post by: AviX on April 01, 2018, 12:15:18 AM
Hi

Is it possible to see what voice/sound a style is using?
I need to see what drumkit a specific style is using.

Is it only possible if I transfer the style file to my PC and then use som software?

Yes, it should be possible.

If the model you're using has the Style Creator feature, I think you can copy the style you're interested in, view how each of the style channels are set up, and modify them as desired.

If the model you're using doesn't have the Style Creator feature, you can connect the keyboard to a computer, turn on the Style Out function, and use a MIDI monitor to see the MIDI messages that get output when you select the style-- these will be from the style's "SInit" section where the channels are set up.

If you Open a style on MixMaster, the drum voice used and the note and volume and effect settings are available in Drum Edit View. If you only want to know the drum kit used, it is available in Voice View. See attached.
