Title: Good free piano sample named "SIX" ???

Hello all

With my T5, I bought the Yamaha 1GB extension first, then the Mutec 2GB extension card. T sold my 2GB card with my T5 for a Genos.

Yesterday, I gave my 1GB card to my piano teacher who kept the T5. And we installed the card. I didn't remember what were the last samples I installed on this card, at all.

We discovered a very good piano sound named "SIX" on the card. I don't remember what PPF or CPF file it was.

It's possible that it takes quite the full card capacity. I didn't remember at all what is this "SIX" piano sample.

Does someone know what is this very good piano sample ? If no, does someone know how to rebuild a ppf file on PC from a sample stored on the extension ?

It is an Alicia Keys sound Upright piano sample.
I love it! Needs a little Reverb adding in mixer panel.

Great info Soundphase!

It's so sad that we have to spend another $400 for dime store memory, just to get a decent piano sound on a $6,000 T5 (quoted in Canadian dollars).

Apparently, the samples and models require a boatload of memory. I accept that. What I can't accept is Yamaha NOT putting some dedicated memory in the T5 just for piano samples. Sounds like the expansion memory is included with Genos. Too bad it took all those Tyros models before Yamaha did something about their crappy pianos.

I think the included pianos in Genos are quite good, better than T5 for sure.
Hopefully will continue!
