Title: Do I need to purchase a flash memory expansion module?

I just purchased atyros 5. If I wanna buy styles or voices, do I need to install a flash memory expansion module or can I just copy the new styles to the internal hard drive.

If you buy just (premium/midi) styles you do not need a flash memory card. If you buy expansion packs with styles and voices you do need one. Same for audio style packs. But are you sure your T5 doesn' t already has one installed?

T5's that are 2nd hand often have one already installed but emptied/fromatted sometimes by either the previous owner or the dealer that sold it to you. I know my dealer asked me to bring my T4 back to factory default before I traded it in for a T5. Same thing perhaps happened with your T5 by a user that upgraded for exampel to a Genos.

Then unless it was one of the special offer one's that had memory fitted you will need to purchase one.

No. Just copy them to the user section or play them from a USB stick. Have you checked all the T5 styles available on this forum?

Also check this board for styles where people post syle for specific songs.
You can download all styles just to the usb stick.
The big majority of styles made to other Yamaha keyboard models are also work on your Tyros 5.
You just have to revoice or adjust the volume of the parts of the styles.

or directly use the search button top left
