I commented already to video

Edited: Be careful with Drum Setup: you cannot use drum setup if you have more than one drum set to your style... So if a main has a drum set and another main has another drum set, even if you made changing to a drum and save it, when you play the style and change the mains the drums will reset the settings...

Vali

I fully understand the problem you are referring to
I used to use the S970 and used the Drum Setup feature as a way to diversify the stylesets in my styles.
Sometimes you have expansion packs and you love a drumbeat, for example: Kick, Snare ....
With Drum Setup you can mix it in a style that uses factory drum. It is simple and wonderful. But on Genos, Yamaha does not allow it. Why not?

That's a good question to ask Yamaha.

I already did.
Beside Genos I have psr-A3000 and Drum editor on this cheap Keyboard is way better and ahead.

So all my hopes are in NEXT OS UPDATE.

Hi
You said  "...is way better..." . What this means?! Which more features than selecting Custom Drum Kits parts has?!

Vali

As you said it, It sounded as if there were fifty features more  ;D ;D ;D

We all know about this deficiency but it is a feature that could be unblocked through next firmware update.. All we have to do is to wait and see... If will not happening in the first update, that means Yamaha was not well informed about people needs :D

In OS 1.20
Drums Setup does not allow you to select the drum sets that you compiled and installed in the expansion pack.

No, it is not true. I did select my expansion drum kits in drum setup. The only inconvenient thing is when you select the element you see the note, like "-E0-" or "-C1-"... if we have possibility to name elements in YEM, that will be easy to us to view what we select... :)

In my PSR S 970 I noticed, that the drum setup settings will not be stored, when the instrumentation of one variation is a bit different. The keyboard won't change the voices, it will simply ignore, what I did in the style editor.

You are in wrong forum, but even so, what do you mean by "variation is a bit different" ???
