Anybody know when Yamaha are releasing the conversion for the alto and tenor saxes.
Supposed to be january .
Where do you find news of the pack upgrades

I already downloaded the SA2 Tenor Saxes for my Genos for free. No problem installing them

If they have ,I can re-download for free as I already have them from tyros 5.
Well I have been to musicsoft and cannot find a way of re -downloading my sax pack
It is said you have them upgraded to genos and thet will be free
How do I re- download when all I see is receipt and that I had purchased them

The Saxes are due this month. The SA2 Alto and Baritone Sax voices are part of the Genos presets now so there is arguably no need for those even though some Depts. of Yamaha do not seem fully aware. My Genos was playing those voices from my Tyros registrations right out of the box.
Some members are in contact with Yamaha for clarity since the pack for SA2 Alto Sax update does not include voice samples.

I downloaded them from the US site.
They came up when I put Genos as my KB in. So they were converted.
Howevery they sonds exactly like the Sax in the Genos.
So, I'll probably take them out again and make room for something else.

Tenor saxo SA2 sounds from expansion are quite the same as native one (included into Genos). I suspect only effects are slightly different.
The alto sax expansion for Genos was released some days ago. I downloaded it... but there was no sound at all in this package (only 2 registrations and 1 demo) !!!
I already exchanged with Yamaha Support about this problem. Yamaha support said me that it's normal that there is no new sound in this expansion. I think they now removed the expansion from the site.
The support announced me that it will be the same story with Baritone saxo expansion => no new sounds.
Hopefully, Trombone and Pan flute SA2 sounds from expansion packages are clearly different from native sounds.

I have already suggested to them that they remove the GENOS version from sale.
It is still currently available, but they have responded.

But, How do you download the new upgraded ones from the yamaha list.
I have been to Yamaha soft and all I see is the receipts for the tenor and alto that i purchased.
The downloads have gone.
I looked around other parts of my account and nothing.
How do you get them here In the uk .

To kept any updated packs for the Genus you have to go through the process of buying them again. When you get to the checkout you should receive a 100% discount so it will not cost you anything.
It might seams bit of a pain, but it is just the way they do it now.
