Title: Microphone contatc different in keyboard
Post by: Toril S on December 16, 2017, 11:25:52 PM
Hello :) It turned out that I couldn't use the cable that came with my microphone with my S970, because the contact on the keyboard was not for XLR. However, I could use it on my Bose L1 compact. So now I have two cables, one for the S970 and one for the Boes. Is this normal? Tested all my new sound gear today, and is a newbie on using soundgear, i formerly just used the speakers on the keyboard. The sound was definitively best when I used the microphone directly on the Bose, but I want vocal harmony, so I must try to get the settings right so that I can use the microphone directly on the keyboard, amplified by the Bose. There are so many settings and such. A little intimidated right now. Fortunately the next gig is not before Christmas Eva. Then I will play the whole evening...

use the input on your key board for your Mic,this way you set the mic with the reverb and mix you want ,if you go directly into the Bose your voice will sound drab ,your voice drops and will not carry well without a mix, if you haven't set up your mic settings you can settings on the forum to give you a start and then fine tune

I usually run the reverb for the mic at around 40,I have set up on my T4. I use the karaoke voice and I think DSP  7  my mic settings are saved with the Reg.as well as the harmony settings , I redo the harmony also rename them and save different  settings in the user bank as I dont always use the same ones, then tie them to the Registry along with the lyrics  that I am using as well, you may already do this .,,
