I am unable to find the files I have downloaded on my Ipad. On my computer, Windows 10, I can select a folder but I cannot find that
option on the Ipad. Thanks, Bob
-
It depends on how you downloaded them, but most files are stored in the Files app.
Just search for that app; it should have been created in a recent OS update (IOS 12, I believe).
To search on an iPad, swipe down from the center of a home screen.

Thanks Fred. Still cannot find the download. I downloaded from the styles "collections" from one of the posters. I do not know where to go from there. Bob

The files app icon looks like a blue folder. Find and tap it and it should show downloaded files in a download sub folder. If you are downloading files related to a specific app, I believe they may also go straight to that app.

How are you going to use the styles on an iPad?

Fred: I cannot use them on the Ipad. The point I'm trying to make is the download and retrieval process. I can download the styles via computer. I just want to be able to download any file on the Ipad and be able to access it there.

Thanks Mike. I do not see the files app. Bob

Hi Bob,
which iPad and/or which iOS / iPadOS version do you use exactly?
Best regards,
Chris

Good luck. Let me know when you’ve figured it out.

Agree with Fred, not too important for styles which have to be transferred to the keyboard anyway. But it is handy to download sheet music straight onto the IPad, so worth solving.

I agree it’s worth solving, but I haven’t been able to do it. I thought when Apple introduced the Files app, I would find everything there, but I don’t.
PDFs, however, aren’t normally a problem, as they’re usually imported into a particular app, so they’re easy to manage.

Thanks for your feedback, Bob!
I still have my "good old" iPad4 with (the latest supported) iOS 10.3.3. So, I cannot help you too much in this special case.
To exchange files with Songbook+, I usually use the option to share the app folder in my local network (and then access it from the PC). Unfortunately, most other apps don't offer this option.
Otherwise, I use Dropbox to exchange files between PC and iPad.

Chris

Thanks again Chris. I guess I will have to contact Apple. Regards, Bob

If you have an Apple store nearby, it’s a great way. Just drop in and ask one of the sales people and they can usually fix you out in a minute.

Well my problem is solved. I must admit it was so simple and I feel embarassed.
Actually someone had mentioned what to look for but I could not find the location. At the foot of the home page on my Ipad there are icons representing
the last apps I had used. The app in the center is a blue file folder which
remains there despite what other apps are used. So, I clicked on that folder
and VOILA all previous downloads were there. Thanks to all who replied. Regards, Bob

Yes, a blue folder named Files, perhaps?

Dont be too embarrassed, because you are not alone. I have searched unsuccessfully thru pages of apps several times in the past before it dawned on me to look in the recent apps.
