Is there a way to gradually slow down and increase the tempo while playing a style in genos? Any assignable buttons or function?

An alternative is to have a progression of judiciously-spaced registrations which differ only in tempo. While this doesn’t produce a gradual change, if applied at suitable points in the performance it may meet your requirement.

You can assign a live control slider or knob to tempo. I find the knobs give more precise control for tempo and have the rightmost one of display 1 assigned to it. A useful feature is if the knob display is not currently active (because sliders have been in use) and I start to use the tempo knob "blind" the display immediately switches to show the tempo as it changes.

Hi Toril,
yes, you can assign the "Master Tempo" to a Live Control Knob! And (in difference to S970) on S975 the Live Control Assign Set parameter can be stored in Registrations (by using the check box "Live Control").
Please refer to S975 Reference Manual, pages 11 - 14.

Master Tempo
Changes the tempo of the currently selected Style or Song. Rotating the
knob to the left makes it slower, while rotating it to the right makes it
faster. Setting range is from 50% of the default tempo value to 150%.

Tyrsos 5 can not do this as it dose not have assignable knobs or sliders.

So you just press the Temp + or - button, then use the big wheel :)

Hi Toril,
yes, when you press a Tempo + or - button, a popup window appears. Then you can adjust the Tempo by using the Data wheel.
Note: The time in which those popup windows automatically close can be adjusted here:

It might be a bit tricky to pull off, but you can also assign the 'tap tempo' function to a footswitch. So if you tap the pedal a bit faster than the current tempo, it will speed up.
Press the Direct button then the footswitch to bring up the assignment menu.

Hello Panos :) There is a style in the keyboard called Sirtaki or Syrtaki. I don't know how to play this style of music, but many years ago i made a melody on my accordion that I think will go well with this style. It goes faster and faster, but the style on the keyboard is in the same tempo. So I too will have to practice and see if i can get this to work :)

And, as Alan has suggested above, a bank of registrations works well (everything can be the same in each of the 8 registrations, except for the tempo).
You could go further and even name each one with it's tempo - this would show on your display, giving you more than one place to view your current tempo.
I have used a registration bank (each reg a faster tempo) every time I have played the Bird Dance (Chicken Dance) for the past 20 years at all of my "Oktoberfest" gigs.

Then registrations would be your best bet, because the tempo changes are discrete, not continuous.
You play one phrase (8 bars, 16 bars, etc.) at one tempo, then increase it for the next phrase, etc.

Style file accepts Tempo changes. Which means you can make a intro with 8 or 16 measures which changes tempo gradually. You can easily do this using Cubase. As a remark, you Main A will starts with tempo of 50, Main B will have an 120 tempo control, and Intro A will starts on 50 and ends on 115-120.

Vali I have checked the sirtaki style thsi morning and in intro 3 is doing what you are saying.
Will it be a way to make this increase of the tempo also with stylemagic maybe?
I didn't see something in style creator yet that can do it juast using the keyboard.
I will check it better in the evening though.

No, stylecreator cannot do this. Stylemagic has tempo control, but not in multi edit, only in event edut. It's hard to add 50-100 tempo controls one by one, so cubase will help more...

Cubase can NOT handle Style files directly. So you have to use a Tool like "Style Split & Splice" (by Jørgen Sørensen), to split a Style file in two parts (the MIDI part and "non-MIDI" part). Now, the MIDI part can be imported to Cubase, and MIDI data can be changed there. Finally, you save the changed MIDI data as a MIDI file (Format 0) and "splice" this file with the original "non-MIDI" file, to get a working Style file again.
BUT you could use "MixMaster" (by Michael P. Bedesem & Etienne Volbragt): MixMaster can open Style files directly and finally save it in original Style file format. :)

If you really want to embed 'scaled tempo' within a style, MixMaster is surely the way to do it!
In 'List View' there is a a function 'Scale Tempo For Selected Time' which adds the multiple tempo events automatically, after you have selected the MIDI time period over which you want to insert the function, and then the Start and End tempo.
The tempo events are inserted at regular intervals, but you can edit each one for time or tempo if you want something more esoteric!
