How can the displayed time on posts be changed to local Time?

I have just started posting replies on the forum. I notice that the time stamp is not in my local time. Can someone advise me how to do this as I have been unable to find any mention of this in the HELP section.

Ron,

while you are logged in, click on the menu item "Profile".
Then: Modify Profile > Look and Layout > Time Offset
