If a person were to purchase a CVP - 909, can they expect some of the features of the Genos2 ?
Well I’m sure that it shares a lot of features with Genos 2, but so did Genos 1, CVP809 and other Yamaha arranger type keyboards. But I think you mean does it have any new arranger features
unique to Genos2. And the answer is pretty definitely no, because it came out before G2. And people are saying that there aren’t many ‘new’ arranger features in G2 over G1 anyway. So not sure that it all matters.
I know that there are not big differences between CVP 809 and 909, so whether you want to buy the latest model or save a little by buying the older model, is a personal choice, not really based on keyboard features or performance. Both would be brand new.
When faced with the exact same decision on 805 vs 705, I played both for about an hour, and ended up buying the older model. I could
see a small difference, in appearance, but I couldn’t
hear one. My only regret is that I now wish I had splashed out the extra on the 709. But not the 800 series.
