Hi to Everyone
Yes, it takes time to get used to footpedals and if you have two it seems that can you hit the wrong one many times when brain is not 100%
.
Playing merrily along, the fill can turn into a bend magically.
I have a two left feet situation sometimes.
I have managed today to make a chord track in the Genos sequencer to Matthew & Son and now the fun begins
I had to do the chord track and mains plus fills in step mode to get everything tight.
It is a little fiddly especially when you want two chords in a bar.
You have to put next note in the next bar and come out of record and tab over to the left and put the second chord on third position and tab over left again to amend the bar.
You get used to it after a while.
Now the track is done and it could only be done with a preset style and after expanding it, it now will play out of the step mode.
The thing is now to get my user style to take over the preset one.
My next problem. After that i will mute all tracks except the drums and fills and mains changes. This will keep the rhythm tight and now can concentrate on the playing , both hands.
This is much better than trying to do a Don Partridge "Rosie " one man band Roger Rabbit contortions with hands, feet and whoopsy'e daisy!!!!!
For a song like Mathew and Son to sound great you need more space as there is a lot going on in there.
For run of the mill songs straight playing is enough.
Another annoying thing is the Song play section. Always start with a blank registration when making them. I have learnt that lesson now.
My Mathew and Son Chord track nicely finished but when i put into song mode to try out my registrations, they were fine up until the third one when all stopped and the audio section lit up with a a midi song. WEIRD !!
. I had to go to each registration and make sure everying ok and re -save it and that problem then goes away.
I had a song registration on there before and just went over them and it remembered a pad firing.
What a pickle i get into sometimes
All the best
John
