out of key

Not sure what is happening with my T5
With preset styles when I start a new song say in C7 the KB starts in C and drops to C7 after the finish on the intro
I know this is normal with some song styles but not normal  pre set styles
I have done a system reset but still no change
Is there an issue with my original system set up?

This may be stupid, but did you possibly press the transpose buttons at all?  Make sure they are set to 0

When I start an intro with a C7 chord, the display shows C7, for both preset and user styles. Of course, I can't hear any difference between starting with a C7, and starting with C, but that could just be me.

How do you know your intro starts in C rather than C7?

Chesterkins,

Is it possible you have chord fingering set to A1?
Sometimes that selection does the things you mention. Try selecting Fingered Chords and see if the results are the same.

I rang Yamaha Uk and played the introduction of Movie Ballad where I started in C7
He heard the change when it dropped into Var A but said that was normal because all styles start introduction in Major chords
I did not know that, BUT I do not hear a difference if I start in Am

Hi,
I think i'ts normal: "A minor" is the minor relative range of "C major", no diese or flat to the key ! The machine sees no difference between these two tones. May be you can change that by modifying chord root of instruments in the variation in Style Creator. But I'm not sure.
