Hi everyone!
« on: November 15, 2017, 10:35:29 AM »
Some of you may remember me from many years ago, and maybe even the old website and forum!  I've been away from the arranger scene whilst spending more time with my DAW (Logic Pro X) and various synths/workstation keyboards. Mainly learning new techniques and recording covers for personal entertainment.  I've been using Yamaha arrangers though to play with our church folk group, my current board is the PSR-S950 which is a fine keyboard.  I am really excited at Yamaha's latest release (the Genos) and I can this replacing my current Montage and even Kronos workstations, not to mention the PSR.  Who knows, I may even experiment with creating styles again!  Anyway looking forward to keeping in touch with friends, both old and new, sharing ideas and learning from everyone here at the PSR Tutorial Forum.

Kind regards
Simon

Welcome back. Reminds me.  yeaars ago I was in the Michigan all state band and the conductor made the comment that everyone there would be involved in music for the rest of there lives.  They may leave it for awhile but sooner or later they would be back.  It gets in your blood so to say.  seems the same way with these Yamy arrangers.

Many thanks Roger and everyone for the kind comments and info on the forum.  I definitely plan to spend a bit more time here catching up on everything Yamaha arranger (it's been a while!).  I'm sure that I will have plenty of questions, also looking forward to hearing what everyone is playing and sharing.

Kind regards
Simon

Simon:

From out of the past! A sincere welcome.

I still use your styles, and some of the songs.

And I continued writing some PRS/TYROS editing software. Hope some of it might be useful.

Best regards,

Michael

Welcome (back) Simon !

I am a new member and I like this forum a lot. I keep lurking on the forum, and I am sure everybody here is willing to help and support each other.

I have been on a kind of similar musical trip like you did.

Personally I would have never thought that I would do something (ever again) with arrangers but now I ' regret'  I did not interest earlier, but better late than never :-)

Okay Simon, have fun on the forum !
