S.Art2 AltoSax

It seems to be that this Genos S.Art2 AltoSax preset voice is similar to the T5 Expansion I bought,
Is it possible that Yamaha inserted those premium sounds to the Genus and made the sax expansion pack useless?

No this is something Yamaha do not do. All your packs will bring different voices to Genos.

I understood that for the Tyros5 the trombones from the expansion pack was built into the Tyros 5.

If that is the case, the AltoSax could have been built into the Genos.

I can say that the SA2 trombone built into the typos five is not the same as the trombone that I purchased as an expansion  voice. The purchased trombone is quite a bit more mellow and sweet sounding, while the built-in T5 SA2 trombone is a bit brighter and bolder...

The Trombone in the pack was not in Tyros 5. I always use the one from the pack as I prefer the sound to the on board ones.

Thanks Jim and Eileen, good to know.

I based my remark in part on Peter Baartmans, who said that prior to the Tyros5 the trombones were not so good and they were upgraded in Tyros 5.
