I'm splitting hairs here, but I think you mean audio out?  ;) Like in Main Out.

What I do wonder is:
Is the AUX-in (line in) analogue audio also routed to the digital out?
The digital output level cannot be changed by the Main-volume knob, what about the expression pedal, does this one change digital audio level  or is it only 'straight' same level?

He IS asking about connecting two sound systems at the same time. I think he wishes to connect the Genos speakers and a second PA system simultaneously. This can be done. The information can be found on Pages 116 and 108 of the User Manual. This allows you to connect the satellite speakers, sub woofer and another external, powered PA system, thereby giving you a full blown monitor and PA system for your audience.

Hope this helps,

Hi Gary,

This is what I was hoping to do.

When I set up my Genos (Genos speakers being part of a bundle package) I will hook it up to my HS5 monitors using the main line out  R L/L+R ports. Am I correct in thinking that the Genos speakers could plug directly into the back of the keyboard with their own individual ports immediately behind where he speakers are positioned are set?

I would suspect that the audio in will be routed to the digital out. The expression pedal function is before the amplification stage and so should also change the level of the audio out. Remember the master volume control is for the analogue amplifier hence why it doesn't affect the digital out which will be taken pre-amplification.

The sounds that we have heard up to now come from studio speakers
How will it be with the Genos speakers?

I don't think they do. The sounds we've heard up to now are from line outs direct to the video audio track. The quality you'll hear will be as good or bad your listening device(s).

I'm pretty sure all demo's are recorded directly from the main-outputs and no microphones positioned in front of speakers are used.

Gary:  Your comments have inspired me to ask:  Is it possible to control the volume from
both systems from one source, either master volume or foot pedal ?  I have used what you say above but had to control  the added PA setup via  a mixer.  Just wondering if the new Genos would be able to control the volume of both speaker systems  from one location.  I am handicapped when it comes to tech issues.  Thank you.  Bob

Line outs require a powered PA system because they have no volume control, just a 1.5-volt output directly from the line system.

The regular outputs are controlled by the main volume, as are the keyboard's monitoring speakers. From what I read, they are one in the same volume control, but I will have to investigate this farther to be absolutely sure.

Then, of course, you have the headphone output, but that probably turns off the keyboard's satellite speakers when engaged.

Hope this helps,
