PSR-S750 - Issues after a Factory reset [SOLVED]
« on: October 05, 2017, 06:09:35 AM »
Hello everyone,

I have a PSR-S750 since 2015 and everything worked fine until a few days ago. It started with internal styles that no longer played correctly, some notes did not follow chords anymore.

So I did a Factory Reset.

The problem is that now all recorded songs no longer display the chords on the main screen except the first chord and when a song plays, and I want to use the multipads, the chords of the multipads do not change anymore .

Have I forgotten to set up something?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Cheers,
Julien

Did you try an update to V1.03?

https://usa.yamaha.com/support/updates/firm_psr-s750.html

Hopefully that will work. Good Luck!

Hello,

Thank you for your answer.

It is already V1.03, in fact it was already updated when I bough it.

Some other things are getting wrong. For example, when I select an internal style (country styles) which uses pitch controls, the pitch doesn't change and it sounds really bad.

I'm thinking about to give it back to Music Store while it still is under warranty.

Cheers,
Julien

Julien:

Other than contacting Yamaha directly (they are very good and stick with you real time while working on the keyboard) it may be best to return this board. Perhaps trade up to a 970?

Gerry

Julien, what technique did you use to do a factory reset? If you just held down the rightmost white key while turning on the keyboard, this is only a minor reset. To do a complete factory reset you will have to go through the Function/Utility/System Reset, then place a check mark in every box when the factory reset page opens, and then execute the reset in order to do a full, factory reset.

Hope this helps,

Hello Gary,

Thanks for your reply.

That's what I did. First I did the "minor reset" but I saw that the user name and language were not deleted so I did the full reset just like you said. But defects are still there.

As I said, tomorrow I will go to Germany to give it back to the Yamaha dealer (Music Store) for repair. We'll see.

Cheers,
Julien

In less than a week the keyboard is back from Music Center in Germany.  :)

The problems are solved (I don't know what were issues) and they sent it back by UPS for free.

Cheers,
Julien
