I connected vga to small  T.V using 15 pin connector and am getting a hum in my bose   could this be because this is an older T,V ,,,I am thinking about using a Pc monitor would that work better?  I am looking at element  22 in led monitor would that make a difference?

You have a ground fault hum. Itís more your power cord than the TV, although changing equipment often works.

Google ground fault hum to find various solutions.

Paula, a simple, 3 to 2 ground default defeater plug that can be purchased in any hardware store should solve the problem.

I ran into the same problem with my PC, caused a hum in my keyboard, which transmitted to the Bose L1 compact. Plugged the netbook PC into the ground defeater plug and all traces of hum were instantly gone.

Hope this helps,
