How much of Yamaha's NPD work takes place in Japan? I have an idea that it's mostly the software and hardware with maybe some input from the US, along with tooling, manufacturing & production. I suspect that the voicing design/sampling, style composition & creation takes place at studios in Germany, the US, and UK, with decisions regarding general specifications and requirements being made jointly between Asia, the US and Europe.

As I say this is pure guesswork, if anyone is better informed I'd like to hear. Just curious.
Keyboards: Tyros 3, Roland E-70.

Organs: Yamaha HS8, Yamaha D-85, Technics U90 Pro, Wersi Helios W2S.
